After 18 long months we are delighted to announce that Building Sussex Connections has been able to resume face to face networking events, and they are more popular than ever!

We would firstly like to thank all our valued members for their support through the last 18 months. With your continued support we were able to keep Building Sussex connections going with virtual events and challenges, as well as giving many of our members something to look forward to, through the tough lockdowns. Not only did you support Building Sussex Connections you supported each other. We received so many lovely comments on how our members checked in on each other and helped each other through those tough times.

Even through many many months of virtual meetings, Building Sussex Connections has gone from strength to strength with many new faces joining us for our events. We hope to meet many more of you at future events.

With your help and generous donations, we have also still managed to raise an amazing £2,359.50 for our chosen charity Widowed and Young.

Back in October we were able to hold our first live event in almost 2 years. To celebrate we planned a special event at Artelium Vineyard just outside of Lewes nestled in the South Downs. An afternoon of touring the grape vines, learning about exceptional British wines and of course a tasting of three of the most popular wines, all topped of with a beautiful ploughman’s lunch.

It was great to see so many members ready to jump back into face-to-face networking. An outside venue with plenty of large open space certainly helped ease everyone back in.

November’s networking event saw the return of The Westbourne, after being closed for re-development it was nice to settle back into familiar territory and feel that normal networking has resumed. We received many fantastic comments from members about is spacious new layout and delicious food.

To see out the year in style we had another special event planned for Christmas at The Depot in Lewes, with a Christmas themed finger food buffet and celebratory drinks. The event was held on National Christmas Jumper Day and it was amazing to see all of guests get involved and show off their festive spirit! It was a brilliant live event to end the networking year on a high!

With 2022 just around the corner, we have got so much planned new events already!

Our October and December events were so popular with members, we have decided to regularly hold special events throughout 2022!
